Hello I'm Mike Manley, welcome to my studio Blog. I am veteran comic and animation artist and I created and edit Draw! Magazine. This blog is a chronicle of what's happening in my studio. Follow my process and path as an painter, cartoonist and teacher and find out how they inform and enrich each other!
Mike, again, I think the week of dailies coming up (June 7th) is your best JP work yet. This is the exact link (Nick's) that I use to view Judge Parker. I use his "extra large" viewer, which is terrific to read the strips. Granted, it's not the way it is in the papers. But, props to you, you are getting in a groove.
I can finally see your true style coming out of this next week. True "Manley-ness!" ;-)
It's a shame we're going to have to wait awhile before we get to see your versions of the other characters of the strip, namely Sam's secretary and law partner, Gloria and Steve, not to mention the original Judge Parker himself!
Agree with Lud and CC. Really impressed with this weeks strips of Judge Parker. If you can stay right here, you are money. Great looks on Abbey and Neddy, both from how they are drawn, closeups, framing the scene, etc. Awesome, Mike!
