Phillustration 09

Today was the reception for the Philadelphia Sketch Club's annual Illustration show, which was held on a really nice, if a bit humid Sunday afternoon in center city. I have two pieces in the show this year, my recently finished Commuter painting and my Wolfman painting from a while back. It was great to stop by and chat and see many other artists and illustrators from the Philly area.

Hey, Mike! Don't know if you remember me, but I was in your figure drawing class at DCAD back in 2005. Rhandi: short, adorable black female?

Anyway, glad to see you pursuing your BFA. I haven't seen anything outside of your comic work, so needless to say, I'm really impressed! I'll have to check out this Sketch Club of yours, now that I'm back in the area. For now, take care!

Hi Mike!
I saw you at the opening but I didn't get a chance to speak with you. It was really neat getting to see your work up close. I didn't realize how large your commuter pieces really was. And the werewolf one was really cool as well.
