Happy Bithday to ME

Today is my birthday and one of the best things about being an artist is getting cards from fellow artists..

Happy Birthday, Mike! Your posts always brighten my day, and I hope you get a great dinner and lots of love.

When I was a kid, my parents would always take me to Red Lobster on my birthday. Now that I live in Seattle, I can get better seafood, but I still have the hots for Red Lobster.

Were you not in Philadelphia and I not in Seattle, I'd take you out for sushi this weekend. We have a great little conveyor-belt sushi place here that would be fun. . .

. . .and every time I go there, I notice this mask hanging there that is identical to the one you drew on the "Thief of Time" page that you work on on the DRAW DVD. So it's an omen.

Hope it was a good day for you!

ECHOGOESBLUE: Yes I did have some good Vietnamese food...and wish I had some more right now as it's late and I'm hungry...

Busted, thanks for the offer, same here, if you ever make it to Philly, the cheese steaks are on me:-)

Funny you should mention that, actually. I just ordered a cheesesteak the other day, knowing that it wouldn't be the kind I liked but still liking the bastardized version.

I went to grad school in Pittsburgh and grew quite fond of cheesesteaks done Pennsylvania-style, the only way really to eat them. Here they aren't as good (though meat plus cheese plus mushrooms and bread can't really go too wrong in my book).

I tried to explain the difference to my girlfriend, but given that she's a vegetarian, it was sort of like describing the difference between forest green and olive drab to a blind person.

So I'll take you up on that one day, I hope!

Happy belated birthday. I forgot all about it until I saw your post. From what I've seen on the web, this is your 44th. Well anyway, I don't have anything else to say. Hope you reply to this when you're done staring at those birthday cards with the hot girls on them. :-)

Thanks SPJ and BG. Yeah, getting cards from artists is great. I had a good B-day mutual celebration at POD in West Philly last nite witha bunch of fellow Libras.
